  • How to Clean Raspberries

When you buy raspberries in the shop they can often be covered in bacteria from handling or bugs. Additionally they may have had pesticides used on them and in many cases these pesticides are known carcinogens. This is why it’s important for your health that you clean your raspberries thoroughly prior to eating them. Lucky you’ve got us to teach you how to clean raspberries!

Step by step on how to clean raspberries

    Step one

Firstly, you want to put your raspberries in a bowl and fill the bowl with cold water. Also add a splash of vinegar. The vinegar helps kill the bacteria and break down pesticides that may be on the surface of your raspberries.

    Step two

Secondly, drain the bowl then refill it with fresh water to clean off the vinegar. You don’t want a vinegar taste on your raspberries. Alternatively, you can transfer the raspberries to a colander and rinse them that way.

    Step three

Finally, lay the strawberries out on paper towel over a flat surface. Pat them down with the paper towel to dry them.
