How to Clean Salmon
Salmon is delicious and nutritious, and it’s relatively easy to clean and prepare. Today we’re going to discuss how to clean salmon. Specifically a salmon fillet.
When cleaning salmon fillet, it is important to start by removing any bones or scales from the fish. To do this, you can use a pair of tweezers or pliers to gently pull out any bones that may be present in the fillet.
If you have salmon with skin on. Then run a knife along the skin side of the fillet to make sure there isn’t any scales left on the surface of the skin.
Once your salmon is free of bones and scales, you can move on to cleaning the flesh itself. Depending on how you plan to cook your salmon, there are different methods for cleaning it that will work best for your purposes. For example, if you are planning to roast or bake the salmon, simply running it under cold water while gently massaging the flesh with your fingers should be enough to clean it thoroughly.
If you are planning to pan-fry or grill your salmon, however, it may be best to use a brush or cloth soaked in warm water and salt to clean the fillet.
